The Career Center has several resources available to assist you in finding a full time job or post-undergraduate internship in your fields of interest. From the online job and internship database Handshake, to our consortium site UCAN, Emory students have access to hundreds of nationwide postings. You can login to UCAN directly from your Handshake homepage!
Handshake is Emory's online career management system helping students connect with hiring organizations for a wide variety of employment opportunities.
The Career Center’s On Campus Interviewing (OCI) program is also managed through this site, as well as a calendar feature that includes the most current information on upcoming career related programs and events.
Many companies come to Emory each year to recruit undergrads on campus, whether through on-campus interviews, special workshops, info-sessions, or career fairs. You will be able to search Handshake to find companies and organizations that will be interviewing students on campus. We will advertise when employers will be visiting campus via Handshake, along with the positions for which they are recruiting, and the dates for all events associated with the organization. You may apply online for each position of interest, and check the status of your applications regularly. Be sure you stay informed on who is coming and when with your Handshake calendar!
Please review and adhere to all the policies and procedures.
Many of the employers who visit campus to conduct interviews will also host Info-Sessions prior to their on-campus interview date. This is a great networking opportunity for potential candidates to meet the recruiting contacts, alumni, and professionals from the host organizations. You can expect most information sessions to run one to two hours in length. Presentations will address an employer's products or services, career opportunities, and business culture. A question and answer period typically follows. Refreshments and snacks are occasionally served.
To attend these Info-Sessions, please RSVP via the Calendar feature of Handshake. While most companies will not require an RSVP, some may. Business casual attire is appropriate unless otherwise noted.
Career Center Advisors, assigned by major, are available to help you create a tailored job/internship search plan based on your particular interests and needs. Advisors can also share where alumni in your major have succeeded in the past, and help you think of ways to build your network. Be sure to take advantage of the Critique Services to ensure your application materials are competitive and ready for submission!
