Graduate School Recruiters
There are two main ways that graduate and professional schools gain access to Emory students for recruiting purposes: Arranging a campus visit and attending Emory’s annual Graduate School Fair.
Arranging A Campus Visit
To arrange a campus visit for graduate/ professional program recruiting, please complete one of the following reservation forms:
| Health Program Visit Request |
| Law or Graduate School Program Visit Request |
Representatives are encouraged to contact our office at least 2 weeks in advance of the intended visit to allow ample time for logistical arrangements and marketing efforts to be made. A few suggestions for visiting Emory students:
- Evening programs tend to have better attendance than daytime programs due to students’ class schedules. It is also more difficult to secure a room location during the day due to classes being in session. Sessions beginning after 5:00 p.m. will have a better turnout.
- Visits that are scheduled close to exam periods and school breaks may not have strong attendance. Please consult with a Career Center staff person to check your preferred date with our school calendar.
- For most direct advertising, please furnish an electronic flyer to us that can be sent to our student email lists. This ensures that news of your visit will be mass-marketed to Emory’s undergraduate students. Flyers should be provided electronically to rodia.vance@emory.edu for law and graduate programs or charles.collier@emory.edu for pre-health programs.
Graduate School Fair 2009
Emory’s annual Graduate School Fair is an excellent opportunity to get up close and personal with Emory’s dynamic student population and engage with students who are primed to hear more about graduate and professional school programs. In addition, Emory’s fair is open to students at other Atlanta area schools that do not host their own graduate fairs, including Georgia Tech, Agnes Scott, and others. This open-access policy allows you the opportunity to tap multiple schools in one stop.
Our graduate fair is only held once per year in the fall semester. The date for the 2010 fair will be published in May, 2010 after coordination efforts with other Georgia schools are resolved.
The fee for the fair is $150 per program. This includes one 6’ table, one attending representative, brunch and snacks provided throughout the event and parking on campus. Additional representatives are $25 per person, with a limit of 2 representatives per table. Schools also have the option to purchase an advertisement for their program in the Program Guide which will be disseminated to students at the Fair.
