Emory Pre-Law Society

Emory’s main pre-law student group is the Emory Pre-Law Society. This organization is open to students of all classes and majors at Emory who are interested in going to law school. The Emory Pre-Law Society supports the Pre-Law Advising Office by offering events and programs to meet the interests of Emory’s pre-law community, including:

  • Legal career panels
  • Talks by alumni lawyers
  • Info sessions with current students at law schools of interest
  • And more…

To join the PLS, students should attend one of the group events and pay membership dues to the organization Treasurer. Dues amounts are set annually by the PLS Executive Board. The 2012-2013 Pre-Law Society Officers are listed below:

President: Morgan Monroe

Vice President: Nandita Balakrishnan

Secretary: Ashley Bernard

Treasurer: Wendy Becker

Marketing Chair: Jonguk Lim

All officers can be reached by email through the campus email system. In addition to the positions listed above, the PLS adds a Freshman Representative to its board in the fall semester of each school year. First-year students who are interested in getting involved in a leadership capacity early on in their college careers may contact the PLS President for more details and an application.
