Welcome to the Pre-Law Advising Office at Emory!

Are you thinking about law school?

If law school is something you want to pursue, then you are in the right place and The Pre-Law Advising Office is here to help! Located in The Career Center, the Pre-Law Advising Office (PLAO) has a mission to educate Emory’s pre-law students and alumni about pursuing legal career pathways and to prepare them for success in the law school application process. To accomplish this goal, the Office provides a variety of programs and services designed to assist Emory’s pre-law community throughout the process of preparing for a legal education. The Pre-Law Advising Office serves three main functions for Emory pre-law students:

  • Advising
  • Programming
  • Communications

Click on the links to the left to learn more about each area! If you are pre-law, your first step is to declare your interest as pre-law by getting registered with the Pre-Law Advising Office. Registration has several benefits:

  • Gain access to the Pre-Law email listserv, which is the primary means of contact between the University Pre-Law Advisor and Emory's pre-law community!
  • Ensure that you are in-the-know about "all things pre-law" happening at Emory, including any last-minute updates or changes to events!
  • Be first to know about new legally-related opportunities sent to the Pre-Law Advisor, including internships, volunteer experiences, or events at law schools!
  • And much more!

Pre-law registration is annual, so you will need to register each school year to remain on the email listserv. To get registered, click on the link below:
