Recruiting for the 2020-2021 academic year will be held virtually.

Host an Event

Increase your brand at Emory University through targeted events. Event options include scheduling an information session, hosting a skill building workshop to help students prepare for a career in your industry, or partnering with us to create a customized event. The Career Center is committed to making your event as successful as possible.

We do not schedule competing organizations in the same time slot. We ask that all of our visiting organizations adhere to our employer information session recommendations. Due to the high demand for employer information sessions, in addition to student’s limited availability with their academics and other extracurricular involvement, organizations will be limited to one 1-hour event per semester.

Events must be scheduled within the approved dates listed on The Career Center’s Recruiting Calendar. To see a list of campus wide events and programming, you can view Emory's main calendar here.

Please reach out to us directly at for any scheduling questions.

  • All events will take place virtually. There will be no in-person presentations conducted on Emory University’s campus. The Career Center will only handle scheduling of interviews and promotion of your event, not the facilitation.
  • Event Scheduling: All event requests must be submitted using our Virtual Event Request Form, using the blue button above. While your event will be publicized in Handshake, we do not accept event requests through the Handshake Events section.
  • Event Platform: We encourage you to host your session via Zoom, as Emory students have licensed accounts. Get information to set up a Zoom account here. We understand if your organization is required to use an alternate platform.
  • RSVPs and Attendance: The Career Center will handle collecting all RSVPs and the communication of your event, including the event link, to our students. A full list of students who have RSVP’d and attended will be provided the day following your event. We ask that organizations do not send out the meeting URL to students directly, but rather direct them to their Handshake account to RSVP and attend.
  • Logistics: To properly promote your event to students and ensure they can successfully connect with you on the day of your event, your organization is required to provide The Career Center with the following information:
    • Meeting URL/Link
    • Meeting ID number
    • Password (if applicable)

Please send this information to, no later than 3 business days PRIOR to your event date.

  • Open Positions: It is best to post your open opportunities in Handshake as prior to your event as possible. Students are more likely to attend your event if they can see the roles you are recruiting to fill. Please make sure your application deadline is set for a date after your event.

The Career Center will promote your event online through Handshake’s Events section using the marketing language and flyer(s) you have provided. Career Ambassadors will also help market your event to their peers. Because The Career Center does not require students to RSVP, we can only provide you with an estimate of your attendance.

If available, you will also be matched with a Career Ambassador who will act as your Brand Ambassador on campus to promote your session to targeted student groups, on social media and through other outlets. Ambassadors will correspond directly with you to discuss your strategy.

We also strongly encourage you to post your job opportunities in Handshake for students to review prior to the event.

You are also welcome to include The Career Center’s social media accounts along with your organization’s marketing:

twitter: @EmoryCareerCntr or

facebook: @EmoryCareerCenter or
