Emory Career Center Events and Programs

Why you should RSVP (Repondez s’il vous plait) to a Career Center event

Responding to an event hosted by The Career Center helps us to obtain a good estimate of who and how many students are planning to attend. Often this can impact planning for the event as it allows us to know and communicate with alumni, guest speakers, recruiters, or faculty expected attendance while ensuring they have enough handout materials, swag, and/or catering for the event.

Additionally, when you RSVP it allows us to communicate with you if there are any unexpected changes (i.e., location, time, date, etc.).

RSVP for an event is not only good etiquette, it is a good habit for you to begin to cultivate as a part of your professional development!

How to RSVP to a Career Center event

An RSVP is required in order to receive the event link to attend any Career Center program.

To register for each event, follow the handshake link listed on any event in order to register.

Once you RSVP, be sure to add the event to your calendar and plan accordingly.

**Please note all programs and events will be scheduled in Eastern Standard Time.**

The Career Center's events are primarily intended for Undergraduate Emory University students (Emory College, Gouizeta BBA, and Oxford) as well as recent Emory alum. Both students and alumni can register for upcoming events through their Emory Handshake account.

However, in some instances, we welcome other members of our community to participate. If you are not a currently enrolled Emory undergraduate student or alumni, please email the contact name listed for the event.

Workshops are focused on helping educate and train students on skill building experiences relevant for their professional development, topics include Resume writing, Interviewing, Internship search, etc.

Information Sessions

Networking Events provide the opportunity to connect with those whose career paths inspire you, for being better informed about career choices, as well as building relationships that yield valuable advice, wisdom and guidance.

Fairs are events designed to connect students with hiring organizations (i.e. Career Fairs) or admissions representatives (i.e. Graduate School, Law School, etc.).

Alumni & Industry Panels are programs designed to introduce students to Industries, Career paths and to hear alumni experiences. Students should expect to hear about best practices and often get the opportunity to ask questions directly to the presenters.
